T53 Earphones: What ENC Changes on a Work Call
Lorvyo Editorial
Understand T53 call noise reduction, microphone placement and open-ear listening when preparing for online meetings.
The T53 combines open-ear earhooks with ENC calling features. The important distinction is whose sound is being changed: call noise reduction addresses the voice sent to the other person, while the open-ear fit still lets surrounding sound reach you.
Test the outgoing voice
Use a short meeting with another device or a willing colleague and ask what they hear. Speak at a normal level rather than shouting over background noise. Compare a quiet room with your usual workspace. Listen to feedback about words and consonants, not just whether your voice sounds louder.
Keep the earhook position consistent
Put the earhooks on as intended and keep hair or clothing away from microphone openings. If you wear glasses, check that adjusting the frame does not repeatedly move the earbuds. A stable position makes it easier to compare calls across different rooms and apps.
Separate ENC from your own listening
ENC is not a promise of active noise cancellation for the listener. If office conversation competes with the call, try a quieter place rather than expecting the outgoing microphone feature to silence your surroundings. Translation is another separate app-dependent function; it does not need to define every use of the T53.

Will ENC make a busy room sound silent to me?
No. It concerns the call signal sent from the microphone, not a sealed listening environment around your ears.
